Dr. Zachary M. Bergman is a board-certified Ophthalmologist with a fellowship focus in Glaucoma. He is an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. At Bergman Porretta Eye Center, Dr. Bergman specializes in many medical and surgical eye services including specialized treatments of glaucoma care, cataract removal with multifocal or toric intraocular lenses, diabetes, macular degeneration, eye infections, and eye injuries.
He completed his Undergraduate Degree at the University of Michigan and Medical Degree at Tulane University where he earned the Schwartz-Stuckey award as an exemplary in the ideals of medicine.
He went on to complete his Internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA and residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Boston, MD. His concentrated Fellowship in Glaucoma care was completed at the prestige Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he continued to work after the completion of his training.
