Dr. Erik Belcarz graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2006. Prior to this, his training consisted of stints with Anderson Eye Associates of Saginaw, the John Dingell Veterans Hospital in Detroit and the Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield where he received training on co-management of refractive surgery. He began his post-graduate career as an independent optometrist working within the confines of a Sam’s Club in Utica, MI. For over 11 years he served that community and built a thriving practice with a focus on contact lens fitting and ocular disease management. Interspersed with his time at Sam’s Club, he had the opportunity to branch out into other settings.
He worked with the former optical chain D.O.C. in various locations, assisted an ophthalmology practice in Clinton Township, MI and more recently has consulted with the contact lens industry, traveling around the country to conduct speaking engagements and training for his peers.
He is a conscientious and caring practitioner who loves to help patients of all ages. Dr. Belcarz provides Comprehensive eye exams, Diabetic and Glaucoma exams, all along with a specialization in vision correction. Dr. Belcarz brings a combination of sophistication and attention to detail to patients care.
