All Laser LASIK using the [IntraLase™ femtosecond laser] to create the corneal flap and the WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® excimer laser offers a number of benefits including improved safety, better visual outcomes and a higher degree of predictability and precision.
The femtosecond laser eliminates the need for a blade to create the flap and allows Dr. Ronald H. Bergman, M.D. to customize the size, shape and orientation of the corneal flap for each individual eye. This level of customization also allows more patients to qualify for LASIK.
The Allegretto Wave Excimer laser is a German-engineered laser system that uses wavefront principles and algorithms to create a more aspheric corneal shape. This technology is designed to improve the quality of vision during daylight and to prevent problems with night vision. The Allegretto Wave laser possesses superior accuracy and speed when compared to older excimer laser systems. More than 95% of patients who have All Laser LASIK with the [IntraLase] and the Allegretto Wave achieve 20/20 vision or better.
