Dr. Salter’s focus is in general ophthalmology for all ages, with a special interest in cataract surgery, as well as in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and laser surgery.

Dr. Salter graduated from the University of Michigan with High Distinction and received her medical degree from New York University. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island serving as chief resident. During her residency she had several ophthalmic publications. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Salter is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is currently on staff as an attending at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal oak, St. John Providence Hospital, and DMC.

Dr. Salter was born and raised in the metro Detroit area. She practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Massachusetts for 2 years prior to returning to Michigan in 2016.
